Fronted by the outspoken Jack Monahan (Jacko), the RAGE soon got a reputation for wild performances and terrorizing unsuspecting clubs with performances that immediately turned into nonstop slamfests. They had no problem finding an audience - the problem was finding a place to play."

Jack later went on to sing in the band DIRGE. A crossover band from Jersey which rules as well. I might make a post about them soon.

I love this band. great, fast, catchy, early Jersey Hardcore. I've been listening to this quite a bit lately.

Fatal Rage-Fatal Rage

1.Struggle

2.Assualt

3.Jump And Die

4.Die Lady Die

5.Fatal Mistake

6.V.O.A.

7.Copy Bands

8.I'm Appalled

9.Yelling

10.Wartime

11.Kick That Kicker

http://www.mediafire.com/?zogmgwyzwzm
Anthonyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02372126190530650153noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8568106812710580348.post-53116592879452517032009-01-05T03:09:00.000-08:002009-01-05T03:25:26.702-08:00Story Of My Life.
Here I sit so fucking shy
wondering what's going through your mind
or what you're even like
as time ticks quickly by
a life so short, incomplete
so many people I'd like to meet
feeling awkward, afraid
potential friends I could've made
why do we keep to ourselves
and not dare to leave our fucking shells
let our feelings and emotions blend
we could be the best of friends.

Anthonyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02372126190530650153noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8568106812710580348.post-77261048856884052182008-12-19T21:11:00.000-08:002010-03-17T14:10:35.562-07:00

Anthonyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02372126190530650153noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8568106812710580348.post-23010728951579491272008-10-06T20:24:00.000-07:002008-10-06T20:30:29.517-07:00Matinee: Photographs from CBGB's 1983-1985This is a pretty cool video that I found, it has some really cool photos of the punks that use to hang around CB's back in the day. There is also some early AF/Psycho's footage.

Anthonyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02372126190530650153noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8568106812710580348.post-40376354355219396372008-08-29T18:55:00.000-07:002009-02-03T19:37:11.093-08:00WarZone
Ten songs allegedly recorded on December 30th, 1984 for an lp with the original WarZone lineup featuring Tommy Rat on vocals and Raybeez on drums. What you get here is one future WarZone song(Take A Stand later appeared one the Rabeez-fronted Lower East Side Crew 7") and nine unreleased tracks. The unreleased songs are much slower and punkier sounding than the later WarZone material that we all know and love... the songs are noisy and bass heavy. A live set aparently exists from 1984 with three of these and five other unreleased songs, as well as a cover of The Munsters theme. I dont have that, but I would like it.

WarZone-Tommy Rat Demo
1.Take A Stand
2.United Front
3.Not This Time
4.Do Unto Others
5.Closed In
6.Paranoia Kills
7.Trouble
8.She Fucks For Drugs
9.Depths Of Reality

http://www.mediafire.com/?qrpl424fb4l
Anthonyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02372126190530650153noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8568106812710580348.post-29415667904764585822008-08-14T01:21:00.000-07:002009-02-03T19:37:45.753-08:00Merauder.
Since were on the subject of Merauder. I thought it would be a good idea to upload these demos as well. The first demo is the demo with Minus on vocals. This demo kills, its just really good, heavy hardcore. Some of the heaviest riffs written are on this demo. The second demo is with Eddie Sutton, of Leeway fame. This demo is really hit or miss with a lot of people. I absolutely love it, yet, a lot of people think it is complete garbage. The vocals on this demo compared to anything else by Merauder, are completely different. But I like it, and listen to it quite a bit. If you're into Merauder or NYHC in general, you need to give these two demos a listen.

Merauder-Demo w/Minus
1.Life Is Pain
2.Final War
3.Besiege The Masses
4.Fear Of Sin

http://www.mediafire.com/?dkfgpcsotmo

Merauder-Demo w/Eddie
1.Find My Way
2.Five Deadly Venoms
3.Save My Soul
4.We Are The Ones

http://www.mediafire.com/?93imur9qwrm
Anthonyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02372126190530650153noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8568106812710580348.post-7619703232416855882008-08-13T22:56:00.000-07:002009-02-03T19:39:08.516-08:00Bad Seed.
Bad Seed is a Hardcore band out of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, that just released a new demo. Influences include a few NY bands such as Merauder, Cro-Mags, Madball, and Life Of Agony. You can definetly hear the Merauder influence(reminds me of the demo with Minus.) His voice also sounds a bit like Freddy Madball. This demo is heavy all the way through. Four tracks of heavy, anger filled hardcore. If you're into any of the bands mentioned, Or heavier hardcore, check out this band, you will not be disapointed.

Bad Seed-II Demo
1.Swallowing Knives
2.Nothing Is Real
3.Seperated
4.World View

http://www.mediafire.com/?yelj3cucz93
Anthonyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02372126190530650153noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8568106812710580348.post-55534665344677790972008-05-27T08:02:00.000-07:002008-08-14T01:54:41.068-07:00Purgatoryis the new song from Bitter End that will be out on their new 7". The riff in the first fast part sounds awesome, then with back vocals (Pretty sure its Griff singing that) make this song sound so pissed off and heavy. The break at 4:50 is hard as nails. I'm dying to hear this live. They play the style of music they want to do well. Five minutes of Hardcore the way it should be, Hard.

You can download the Deathwish Summer Sampler below that has the new Bitter End song and new and unreleased songs from some of the Deathwish/Malfunction releases of the year. Bands included: Killing The Dream, Blacklisted, Cold World, Reign Supreme, Narrows, Trap Them, The Carrier, Life Long Tragedy, Meltdown, Shipwreck a.d., and Pulling Teeth.

http://www.deathwishinc.com/files/dwsummersampler2k8.zipAnthonyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02372126190530650153noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8568106812710580348.post-3666715942899791772008-05-27T05:15:00.001-07:002008-05-27T05:19:36.071-07:00Firstblog post.
